Hospital Bed Casters: Select the Wheel, Mount and Brake Together

Choose hospital bed and medical-furniture casters by wheel size, mounting geometry, installed height and brake operation. Wheel diameter alone does not establish fit. A replacement must also match the equipment’s required load, fixing interface and any brake linkage; these details need confirmation for the exact quoted version.

Compare the caster groups

• 3, 4 and 5-inch double-face casters: the listing shows TPR and PP construction and versions with or without a brake. Identify the exact model and brake option in the inquiry.

• Full-wrapped casters, YY-C3/C10/C13: listed in 3, 4 and 5-inch sizes with PP and TPR construction. Confirm the enclosure clearance as well as the mounting and brake version.

• Central-locking double-face casters, YY-C20/C21: listed TPR wheel sizes are 5 and 6 inches. Check the actuation connection against the bed’s central brake linkage.

• Central-locking single-face casters, YY-C22/C23: listed TPR wheel sizes are 5 and 8 inches. Confirm the selected size, installed height and central-locking interface.

• YY-C51 5-inch braked caster: the listing specifies 304 stainless steel and TPR. Confirm its brake type and mounting arrangement rather than assuming it shares the central-locking configuration of other models.

Measure the receiving equipment

Provide a stem or mounting-plate drawing showing all fixing dimensions. Include the installed height, available turning clearance, number and location of casters and the equipment’s load requirement. Describe the floor conditions and required brake operation. For central locking, supply the linkage connection and actuation details; a general photograph is not a substitute for these dimensions.

What to send for a quotation

• Product link, exact model, wheel size and brake version.

• Mating drawing, required load per caster and equipment application.

• Quantity of each version, finish or colour requirements and destination.

Ask for the applicable load and test documentation for the proposed model and confirm included mounting hardware. No load rating should be inferred from wheel diameter or product weight. Request a caster quotation with your mounting and braking requirements.
